Rejoice! was in the studio recently at Crossroads in Arden, NC, as work is underway on a new project to be titled, “Songs You Know By Heart”, produced by Jeff Collins. Appropriately titled, these are the songs most of us have grown up singing, and have held dear to our hearts for many years. There are classic hymns such as “Wonderful Words of Life”, “Fairest Lord Jesus”, “Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us”, and some great convention songs straight out of the old red-back hymnal including “What a Happy Time”, “Jesus, Hold My Hand”, “How Beautiful Heaven Must Be”, and many others that you probably “know by heart”. Rejoice! has a new feature on this project that will be interesting, too! Tyler Vestal, 16-year-old son of group member, Sherri Vestal, has been singing and playing the piano with Rejoice! for a while now, and as the group’s members will tell you, he has been stealing the show! Tyler is a phenomenal pianist, and a great low-down bass singer, too, and you will not want to miss hearing him play and sing on this new project. This CD of hymns and favorites by Rejoice! will be one you will want to add to your collection and be reminded of the sweet message of God’s love through these classic songs that have touched our hearts down through the ages. A release date has not yet been set, but it should be available sometime this summer.
